Mr. David Vriend
Grade 5
We’re looking forward to a great year. Personally, I’m looking forward to getting to know your children and what makes them “tick”. Children in grade five are so enthusiastic about sharing what they have learned. It’s exciting to be able to be a part of their journey, as they discover the gifts that they have been blessed with.
My name is David Vriend and I have been teaching at Calgary Christian School for 23 years. It has been my privilege to have taught grades two, three, four and six prior to my time in grade five. I feel blessed to have the chance to be a part of your child’s learning. Often, I’m humbled when I watch them put their faith into action. Two of my favorite through lines are order discovering and servant working. Seeing how an act of service can bring people closer to Jesus never fails to inspire me.
I hope and pray that you will see me live those out this year. Thank you for being part of our School community. It is our desire, as teachers, to help your children grow in their faith and learning. Together, as a team, we can work with God’s children to make the world a better place.
