There's some tough news from Jane here. I wish it was going better. Let's pray that she expereinces God's healing and peace that passes understanding.
Dear Friends and Family,
The last 2 weeks have been a difficult struggle for me as I have been battling stomach flu-like symptoms with lots of pain and cramping (and diarrhea. I know....thanks for the gory details). Esther took me to Emergency on Saturday, Mar.18th for IV fluids and the Dr. decided it was a nasty flu bug, but when it persisted, I was advised to return to Emergency so George took me on Friday evening. I was there for 20 hours, 3 bags of IV fluids and meds., a CT scan, and a colonoscopy with biopsy samples taken. I have inflamed colitis, so I am eating very little because everything causes painful cramps, and trying to keep up my fluids, although water makes me vomit. Am awaiting the biopsy results which could take a couple more days, to determine whether this is bacterial or viral (as in treatable or not). In the meantime, I am off of my Crizotinib cancer drug in case it is aggravating the situation. I am glad that we finally know what's going on, but have had to miss some really special events these past 2 weeks. Needless to say, it's tough to be happy or at peace when you're in pain much of the day and night. I have a new prescription to pick up that will hopefully help with the cramps and pain.
On a happy note, Esther started her orientation today for her new job at Alberta Children's Hospital! And it's a beautiful, sunny day. Thanks again for your continued love and prayers.
Love and Blessings for a good day, Jane
