Dear Family and Friends,
After 2 long months of waiting, (and a 3rd CT scan on Friday Feb.24th), Dr. Hao told us today that my tumour is "stable", which means it has not grown and it has not shrunk. I will remain on the Crizotinib and Dr. Hao gave me a stronger medication to try to reduce my coughing, as that is the most difficult aspect of this illness, since the coughing causes painful rib fractures.
So...breathe a sigh of relief and a prayer of thanks with us for God's grace and protection, and please continue to pray for a miracle. I feel more assured that I will be here for all of the upcoming exciting events in our family: Esther starting her new job at the Alberta Children's Hospital on March 27th, the birth of Daniel & Amanda's 2nd child in June, Lisa's graduation from King's at the end of April and her & Andrew's wedding on July 1st, our 35th wedding anniversary on July 30th, and Ruth's "Call to the Bar" in September!
On Wednesday, I will be going to the "Pulmonary Clinic" to see if a 'permanent' drain needs to be put in my left lung to drain the fluid that keeps collecting there. If it is deemed beneficial, they will put it in right away. The next CT scan will be at the end of April.
Thank you again, for ALL your expressions of love and concern during this cancer journey. Thank you for journeying with me. I greatly appreciate your cards, flowers, visits, meals, meals, and more meals, and most of all your prayers!
Love you all!
