Family Liaison Counselor
Hello, my name is Kelly Schmaltz and I am the Family School Liaison Counsellor for K to 12 at Calgary Christian School. I have been working as an FSLC in Palliser since 2015. I am very excited to work with the staff and students at Calgary Christian and be able to share the gifts God has given me with this community. If you would like to learn more about the FSLC program I will be available to answer questions by calling the school office.
I have a Masters Degree in Christian Counselling and have been working as a counsellor for over a decade. I attended Briercrest Bible College, the University of Regina and Victory Bible Colleges International, where I studied psychology, social work and counselling.
I grew up in rural Saskatchewan, and moved, with my husband, to Calgary in 2007. We have two teenage boys and we enjoy being active and spending time playing games. Our newest addition is a Wheaten Terrier named Rapha who keeps us all on our toes.
I love to work with students and make their time at school as comfortable as possible. I am blessed to be a trusted adult that they can connect with during school hours. If you come to my office you will see a sign that states, “You can’t make everyone happy, you're not a taco”. I like them to know that everyone is different and that is okay. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).
