I’ve worked with youth for over 25 years here in Calgary. I was a youth pastor for 14 of those years serving at a couple of churches and during that time, I discovered my love for being in the schools where I taught a character development curriculum in the public schools and private schools and from there started speaking full time providing school assemblies, empowering girls through a non profit I started,  encouraging students on their turf (where they were) instead of trying to figure out how to get them into my church. I absolutely loved being in the schools and continue to do all those things to this day.

However, what drew me to CCS was the opportunity to watch students grow from grade 7 to grade 12 and have a part in shaping them to be responsive citizens of God’s Kingdom. I resonate with the CCS vision of wanting to see students grow in confidence in their Christ centered identity, along with knowing they were created on purpose for a reason and there is something uniquely special that God has put inside of them that will be a blessing to society, causing people to praise our Father in Heaven! This screams discipleship and that’s what drew me in.

I desire to be involved with students for the long haul. Through the highs and the lows of their Jr. and Sr. High years, I am called to equip students to recognize the God gift they are, creating opportunities for them to discover and grow in their giftings, while pointing out Holy Spirit’s involvement in their life. Partnering with parents, caregivers, staff and the entire CCS community in the name of Jesus, may we see students' faith grow, and their belief that Jesus is able to do far more than they could think or imagine in them and through them!
