Orange Shirt Day 2024

Parent Session & Student Assemblies: We are very excited to be hosting two very special guests as part of our school's commitment to building relationships that reflect our Christian values and to honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation! This is a wonderful opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and continue to cultivate a culture of love and respect within our school community. We are also thrilled that one of our parents, Shannon Sutherland-Souster, will MC these events!

We invite you to click here and submit questions for our speakers by Sept. 27, ahead of the family event in the evening on Oct. 3. This is a unique chance to inquire about anything you might have  wondered about or even wrestled with in your personal journey for understanding. How do Christian teachings align with Indigenous ways of knowing and being? Why is there sometimes tension between Indigenous communities and Christian communities? We welcome all questions. Maarsii and Hiy-Hiy!
● Maarsii comes from the Michif language, which is spoken by the Métis people, and it
means "Thank you."
● Hiy-Hiy comes from the Cree language and also means "Thank you."
